On Trump’s October Surprise, I’m going to make it short.  I thought that I had seen the height of  The Donald’s idiocy when his birther antics forever turned him into The Birthiot in my mind.  But, I was mistaken.

As it turns out, The Birthiot is not satisfied with having seen President Obama’s birth certificate, he now wants to see his college and passport records and applications.   If the President complies with his request by October 31st at 5:00 p.m., he will hand the President a $5 million check to be given to a charity of his choice.

Now, all the posts I’ve read about his “surprise” focus on the fact that, in the end,  it was no surprise at all. That’s true, I’m not surprised that Trump is capable of making this kind of offer.  But I am surprised that there hasn’t been more outrage that, for all effects and purposes, Donald Trump is trying to bribe the President of the United States of America.  He might call it a deal, disguise it with the charity angle, and make the offer in public, but let me put it this way:  If it sounds like a bribe, looks like a bribe and stinks like a bribe, it’s a bribe.

Is this guy a total idiot?  Well, considering that this is another of Trump’s publicity stunts (that can also help his buddy Romney to excite the base), considering that the request for the passport records and applications is still about the birth certificate,  I’d say no.  He’s not a total idiot, he’s a total birthiot.
